my lil’ monster…
September 28, 2008
I had been on a hunt for a costume for Ethan for Halloween. I was going to get a Monkey costume because we always call him monkey. But when I saw Lyndsay’s lil’ guy Teagan in this costume, I had to have it. So I hunted all over the internet for this costume…to NOT find it. I then asked Lyndsay where she got it and well you can only get it in the stores. Babies R Us! The next day I was calling Babies R Us to find it….what do you know they only have one left in Ethan’s size. (oh it was sooooo meant to be) And just look how adorable he is in it.
Just to get these photos I had to bribe him with Smarties. He loves those candies. That is the only candy he has ever had. And that’s only the 2nd time he has had them. They worked very well. You can see his cheeks all bludgy from them…soo funny. Just wanted to share my lil’ monster in his costume for Halloween. I think we will be going Trick or Treating in our neighborhood this year. I can’t wait. It will be the first time in this house.
Cell Phone
September 28, 2008
I walk downstairs this morning and find Ethan on the couch with my cell phone pretending to talk.
He was also looking like he was sending some text messages. It was funny because I walked away for a second and then all of sudden I hear someone say HELLO…HELLO….I go over to the phone and Ethan had called his Papa….it was sooo funny.

He is really obsessed with phones lately. He will do anything to get his hands on it.

Bronchitis is not fun…
September 27, 2008She gives me this coupon for a free inhaler because she didn’t have any free samples left in her office. I go to Target to use their pharmacy and after waiting about an hour they say this coupon is expired. ARGH!!! If I wanted to pay for the Rx it would be $40.00. I said Oh No I can’t do that….because I was already spending $50 for other prescriptions. I called my dr and asked about what to do. She said I could come and get another coupon for a different type of inhaler. So I drive all the way back to the office and pick that up. In the meantime my dad had a hand held nebulizer machine that I can use with Albuterol. So i pick up some of that medicine from his office and then go head to my moms to get the machine. The nebulizer machine works faster and more effectively then the inhaler does. I wanted to use it for the weekend and then use the inhaler thru the week next week. I pick up the machine and stop by the pharmacy on my way home. Give them the coupon and they tell me they can use it because I already filled something of the similar already. WHAT? Are you kidding me? I just need the inhaler so I can breath. Please help me out here?!?!?!??! I tell him the whole situation and he calls the insurance company and Target to get it all straightened out. I finally get the inhaler I need. It sure was a long day for just an inhaler.
I get home and use the neb. machine and it works great. I can breath and I sort of have a normal voice (well not really) LOL. Just before bed I have this HUGE coughing attack….I couldn’t stop coughing. I drank water, I tried everything, I even took Nyquil like 15 minutes before that. I finally took a Cepacol cough drop and that helped. I slept pretty good and I wake up this morning and my throat is killing me. And I am coughing alot more then I was before. Argh, I seirously think I have pulled a muscle in my neck from coughing so much.
This is horrible feeling and I don’t wish this upon anyone. I am really hoping and praying this goes away soon and Josh and Ethan DO NOT get it. Please God do not let them get this.
I haven’t felt like doing anything lately…so tired.
I am off to do another Neb. Treatment. Maybe that will help this uncotrollable coughing.
I am so upset I am going to miss Jacob’s 2nd birthday party. I don’t want to expose anyone else to this nasty virus I have. Josh and Ethan are going to go without me. I am sorry you guys I want to come but I just can’t. I hope you all have fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!! Enjoy your day!
Ethan is napping and Josh is at the store and he also went to my parents to let Ripley out, they are gone for a big part of the day and the doggy can’t hold it…LOL Thanks babe for doing that.
Until next time~

September 24, 2008Weekend in Review 10 on Tuesday!!
September 22, 20081. Friday night, I went to my friend Mindy’s for the boys to play together. During the day I had asked her to stop and pick up Ethan’s Halloween custume at Babies R Us. She drives right by it on her way home. I was so excited that she would do it fo rme and save me a trip. Thanks so much Mindy!! I absoulutely had to HAVE this costume. I had found it on Lyndsay’s blog, she got one for her son Teagan…it is sooo adorable as well as lil Teagan. I will have to take pictures of Ethan in it soon so you can see how adorable he is in it.

2. Saturday, was my 2nd wedding shoot with Christie. It was in Midland about 2 or so hours away. I left about 9:45 because I wanted to go get my camera cleaned beforehand. The wedding went really well. I am excited about the images I got. And th bride and groom and the bridal party was great to work with. So fun….here is one lil peek of the day….I will blog more about it later in the week! She was a gorgeous bride…and how about those flowers. So pretty!
3. I got home really late on Satruday night….I was sooo tired…I should not have drove home. But ya know sometimes how you just really wanna go home. It was late and I was tried so I drove home. My feet were killing me….I actually took off my shoes at the recepetion. No one even noticed because I had black pants and blacks socks on…lol….But when I got home and took off my socks…it looked like there was a golf ball on my ankle….It was soo swollen I couldn’t believe it. Just one ankle my left. I have problems with it anyways, but I didn’t think it would do that. It was totally because of the shoes I chose to wear. Those will NOT be in my selection for the next wedding that is for sure.
4. Josh and Ethan went to the John Ball Park Zoo while I was away. They had lots of fun. Even tho some of the animals weren’t there….it was still fun. Josh said Ethan had the most fun in the aquarium part. We really should have gotten there sooner this summer. There is always next summer.
5. Sunday I woke up with a terrible sore throat and raspy voice. Oh I felt terrible. I hate being sick….and just other day I was thankful that I hadn’t been sick in a long time. We that bit me in the butt didn’t it. I have a dry cough that is really annoying. Feels like there is something scratching my throat. Please go away soon.
6. I did get anough strength to make Enchilada’s last night for dinner tho. Oh those are so yummy. Mom’s recipe….love them. I always make more then we need for left overs.
7. Ethan’s BFF, Jacob, his birthday is on Wednesday and he will be 2 yrs old….can you believe it? I can’t. And soon he will be a big brother….well in January. Jacob is having is birthday party on Saturday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!!
8. As I said before I am stilling planning Ethan’s party. I think I have the cake all set. I just need to make his invitations now. I actually need to get some pictures for it first….if he will let me.
9. So after reading my friends Sarah’s blog about getting back into the gym and after seeing the Biggest Loser Premier….I made a promise to myself that I would start getting back into the gym if you would. (The gym is in my spare bedroom, It has an elliptical and a BoFlex) I started that Monday night. Did well. Easier then I thought it would be…Now I just need to go longer without the severe pain in my legs. LOL
10. I can not believe September is almost over. Monday was the official first day of Fall!!! YAAHOOOO! How exciting. I truely love fall. I can’t wait to get out the sweaters and sweatshirts and all the comfy clothes.
Christmas Ornament Swap.
September 18, 2008Some random info:
Price limit is $20 FIRM! We had a low limit last year, and I think we all went over! If you get a wonderful deal, and just have to buy something that is worth more, yet falls under the limit, go for it. If you find 1-2 amazing ones that you are in love with, there is NO pressure to buy more than that. We don’t want anyone being stressed about trying to “keep up” and not look cheap. Most of us have small kids and lots of expenses at Christmas, so we want to keep it on a fun level.
It can be made from anything, as long as it can be hung on a Christmas tree. No stuff to “sit around” or what nots, at least not for this swap, UNLESS your person specifies that they are interested in that type thing. If they are, you still aren’t obligated to go that route, it’s just another possibility to explore.
The Rules:
In order to enter, please email shelley23@gmail.com with your name, and mailing address, and your blog site, if you have one. Copy and paste the below questionaire in order to make it easier on your person to know what you are (and ARE NOT) interested in! The more info, the better, if you ask me!
1. Would you be happy with what not type decorations, or are you interested only in tree ornaments?
2. What color scheme is your tree?
3. Do you collect any specific theme, such as hallmark, snowmen, or etc?
4. Do you like personalized ornaments, with names/initials? If so, please include all info for your family’s names.
5. Do you like oversized ornaments? Flashy and bright, or simple and contemporary?
6. Is there anything specific that you think someone “might” get you that you totally cannot stand?
Deadline to Sign up with be October 20th.
She will be getting your names to you as soon as I can after that, probably within a matter of days. If you email her, and feel like she may have possibly somehow not gotten it, do not hesitate to email again. After she gets everyone their partner, you will then have until Thanksgiving to mail out your ornaments. (We want to have time for people to get them onto their trees!)
Before shopping, get to know the person you have been given - be sure and check out their blog if they have one, find out what they like, what they collect, etc… Or you can bless them with something from your neck of the woods, something they wouldn’t find where they live, as long as it doesn’t fall into their list of stuff they would not want.☺
Shipping instructions: Please package each ornament carefully (especially if doing glass ornaments) Please include your name on your package, since it is not a secret pal swap.
Ornaments must be mailed with delivery confirmation, please, it’s only about fifty cents. Please do not sign up if you don’t want to take it seriously. No one wants to be left with no prize!
Once they are received, please blog yours, if you have one!
