Last weekend we went to Shanty Creek Ski Resort with Josh’s company. This was the 4 year that we have been up there with his company. it is always a blast. This first picture is a view from our room. I didn’t really take any pictures this year when we went. Although I wanted to when we went tubing with Ethan, but when we took out the camera to get a picture…hmmmm there was NO batteries in the camera. ARGH….Nice Job Jaime. So therefore we got none of our awesome time tubing. Ethan totally loved it tho. Maybe next time.

Ethan got his first big boy bed last night. Josh picked it up from his parents house yesterday. This bed is solid oak and was Josh’s when he was little. It is awesome. It is actually Bunkbeds. But we are only using half of it for now.

Ethan was totally excited to have this bed. He couldn’t stay off of it. It was really cute. We weren’t sure if he was really ready for a big bed or not. But when Josh’s parents so nicely offered the bunkbeds to us…how could we say no. Altho his crib turns into a regular bed…these were awesome. Plus when we have another baby we will have a crib for him/her. So we told Ethan that in order to be in the big boy bed you can’t have your binkie and you need to potty on big potty. Well he still got the binkie. Not sure I could do a new bed and take away binkie. One thing at a time. But while we had family visiting Ethan would want to go on the potty. So we let him. He did it many times…while is great. But we now need to keep it up. Wasn’t totally ready for that…LOL His cousin Maiya is 2 yrs old and she is in big girl undies and Ethan watched her going potty and thought it was cool…That’s how he got it. So he understands it, now he just need to do it.
Back to the big boy bed…..we went and got some sheets and a quilt for his bed last night so he could sleep in it. There was no way of him sleeping in his crib after seeing the big bed. We ventured out to Big Lots. We came back and washed the sheets really quick so we could put him to bed. It was pretty late by this time.

It wasn’t easy getting him to stay in bed after putting him down. I put him back to bed like 4-5 times before I just decided to stay in there til he fell asleep. It was only about 10-15 minutes that I stayed in there. Not to bad.

So now I am trying to get him to take a nap in his bed. We aren’t having any luck so far. hahaha He is playing around, locked me out (he did unlock it after I told him to), reading and what not. I told him again to stay in bed and go to sleep. We shall see what happens.

We had a great time at Ethan’s birthday party on Saturday. There was lots of family and friends there to celebrate with us. It is late so I am not going to say much. The pictures will have to tell the story for now.

The lovely cake was made by Sweet Cakes Design LLC. She did a fantastic job. Totally will use her again! How adorable is this cake. I LOVE it!! I was soo excited when my mom brought it over…(the cake place is right down the road from my mom and on her way here she jsut stopped for me and got it.) I just love how it turned out. It was perfect…not to mention that it tasted fabulous!! Thanks so much Barb!! I appreciate it. You will definately get all my referrals!!

I can’t believe my baby is 2 yrs old now. 2 Yrs ago today I becme a Mother. Something I have always wanted. ANd now I have this precious little boy to love. He is so special I can’t even put it into words. I just love him so much. Never thought you could love someone so much.
That day was a tough day. The birth and leading up to his birth did not go as I had planned. None of it. Which is okay…because I had a healthy child.

This picture was just minutes after having him. I know I look horrible…but what do you expect, I just had a baby…LOL
I was so tired because I had not slept at all the night before. I had ethan at 5:05pm. And then labored the whole night before and that day…I was tired.

I love this picture of Ethan and Josh….such a special memory for me to see Josh holding him and so happy!

My sweet precious boy….so innocent.
What happened? hahaha he grew up!
But I am glad to be able to remember these moments.

I totally love this picture of him at 11 days old. I know his eyes look a little cross-eyed but I still think it is precious. The blanket he is on is one that my mom made out of that minky and has Pooh on the other side. It is soooo soft..I love it.

Another sweet picture of him. I love looking back at all his baby pictures just to remember how small and sweet he was. I am glad that I have so many pictures to remember these precious days. (over 10,000 in his first year, rediculous I know)

This is Ethan at 2 months old. I totally love his smile. Just makes your heart melt.

He was always so bald. I loved it.

I love when he would grab his toes…just adorable.

He truely didn’t like to sit in the grass at all…that’s why he has that look. He was not happy…a second after this picture he was screaming. hehehe…Am I mean? He is 6 months old in this picture…=)

Then jumping to 12 months old….he looks like such a little man…crazy what 6 months can do!!

16 months old….growing so fast into a little man…by this time he had such a little personality…oh boy!!

years old. I had to throw in this silly picture because that is how he is most of the time…silly. He has grown leaps and bounds….talking so much…and clear as day…he amazes me everyday.

Like today…he gets up to the kitchen table…we have a pub style table…so I helped him….we put his Bumbo seat on the chair so he can reach….he says..”I’m hungry!” I said “Okay, What would you like to eat?” Clear as day he says, “I want some cereal.” I was like…okay I will get your cereal…it was sooo cute. I will have to show you the picture of him at the table…it is cute..I am thinking the high chair is out now.

He is sooo darn cute. LOL…I know I always say that…but I am his mom I am allowed to.
